Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist competing at flyweight in the UFC. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sporting career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, a Golden medal in 2011, the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in at the age of 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight in 2012 and the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was victorious by an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova in the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won via second-round TKO after which she won two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA to focus on kickboxing. She returned to fight Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her superior striking abilities in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. Antonina accepted the UFC offer after her victory. Antonina received an UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward in the fight. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
